The first Dutch Brain Tumor Center was founded here based on a long history and strong reputation in treatment of and research for brain tumors.

What is EMC’s main role?

The department of neurosurgery will execute a clinical trial in which patients with recurrent glioblastoma will be treated with local administration of an oncolytic virus. This virus aims to directly kill tumour cells and to indirectly elicit an immune response against the remaining tumour cells.

Which work packages is EMC involved in?

EMC mainly contributes to work package 5 and supports work packages 1, 2, 7 and 8.
