Our project partner, KUL and UZL, participated in the Glioblastoma Research Organisation‘s ‘GBM podcast’. In season 4, episode 4, of the GBM podcast, GLIOMATCH experts talk about how their research spans the entire care pathway – from neurosurgical tumour removal, to tissue analysis in the lab using cutting-edge technology, to data interpretation that supports better treatment decisions by oncologists and paediatric oncologists.
GLIOMATCH is a 5-year EU-funded research project focused on using state-of-the-art technology to better understand how immunotherapy can be used to treat brain tumours in adults and children. To make our research more accessible, we’ve started the GLIOMATCH: Explained series. These short video interviews feature conversations with experts and clinicians on key project topics. Through this series, we aim to bring complex scientific research closer to a wider audience across Europe and beyond.
Project overview with Prof. Frederik De Smet: In this episode, Prof. Frederik De Smet (KUL), GLIOMATCH project coordinator, breaks down the project’s objectives, innovation, and overall structure
The Understanding (Tumour-Host) Interactions Cluster unites six projects – ARTURO, GLIOMATCH, HIT-GLIO, MULTIR, SPACETIME and THRIVE – under the EU Cancer Mission‘s Understanding Cancer objective to explore genetic and environmental factors in cancer development. An overview of the EU Cancer Mission clusters is available here. Watch our introductory video, developed by all projects and produced by MULTIR, for an overview.
