The GLIOMATCH project kick-off meeting took place from 25-27 March 2024 and was hosted by KU Leuven, the project coordinator, at the Faculty Club in Leuven, Belgium. This marks the first in-person gathering of the project’s 14 partner institutions.

According to the World Health Organisation, cancer ranks as the world’s second-leading cause of death. Brain tumours have particularly high mortality rates. The GLIOMATCH project is set to rewrite this narrative.

Under the coordination of KU Leuven, the multidisciplinary consortium will be working on pioneering personalised therapies for brain cancer patients.
